How can there be a digital readout in a mechanical watch?
These
days, the term "digital" is often used to refer to a quartz watch.
However, the original meaning of the term in this context referred to
having a display of Arabic numerals as opposed to a dial with hands,
with no bearing on the movement. You read the "digits" rather than the
