I just received this watch today (quick shipping by the way - thanks Christine!). So far, I am quite impressed by the level of craftsmanship of this timepiece. Its actually what I was expecting of my first Russian watch - a chronograph with the much needed functions of 24 hours, minutes,seconds, and a date window all displayed nicely on a dial of subdued black with subtle green accents from the numbers and minute markers. I also really enjoyed the Cyrillic lettering as opposed to having the Latin lettering marking the subdials and the "Aviator" brand logo at 12 o'clock. It is definitely a military piece of art! I must add one observation though: I believe this watch is closer to a 40mm case than 42mm, if that is of special concern to some. I wanted something with a movement based on the Poljot 3133, and this one delivered in spades. I am already looking at my next purchase from R2A. Thanks for making it so easy to acquire pieces of such uniqueness for my collection!
